-Due to unpredictable delays in the adoption
of a child under 3 years old, we are no longer taking inscriptions in that
category. However, it is still possible to adopt a child under 3 years old
with a corrigible disability (hip dysplasia, cleft lip or palate, parents
with HIV history, etc.)

Introduction
This website is intended as a guide mainly for parentsª and others who want to
understand what is involved in adopting a Colombian child. We have
separated the process into three main sections. The first explains what
happens to a child that has been found abandoned or who is an orphan, while
the second stage explains how to assemble a dossier in Quebec
with the intention of adopting a child or children from Colombia. The final section
describes the legal and practical requirements of the Colombian government
for international adoption to Quebec.
